Michael Sercan Daventry is a freelance British-Turkish journalist based in London.

He regularly appears on broadcast outlets including Al Jazeera, the BBC and Sky to provide commentary and analysis on developments in Turkey. He also works as a day-to-day reporter on non-Turkish matters for newspapers and news agencies.

Born in the UK but raised in Turkey, Michael has experience and knowledge of politics and current affairs in both countries. He has built extensive contacts within the Turkish, Turkish Cypriot and Kurdish communities living in the UK.

He also manages the Turkish political analysis and commentary website JamesInTurkey.com.
